Is Buffstreamz Down? What Happened to Buffstreams

By Mudassir. Updated

If Buffstreamz will not load, the most likely reason is that the address you used has been taken down or blocked. The site has no permanent home: it has moved between many domains, and the ones that go offline are often replaced by copies that borrow the name. There is no official Buffstreamz address to check, so the safest move is to watch the game on its official channel instead. Today's games and where they are shown are listed below.

What happened to Buffstreams?

Buffstreamz has always worked without broadcast rights, and that puts its domains in the path of enforcement. The Motion Picture Association has listed Buffstreams.app among sports streaming sites in its recommendations to the US Trade Representative, and the domain was later taken down.

It is part of a broader crackdown. In September 2025 the anti-piracy coalition ACE announced the shutdown of Streameast, a network that logged more than 1.6 billion visits in a year across about 80 domains, after action by Egyptian authorities. US authorities have also seized dozens of pirate sports streaming domains around the Super Bowl; seized domains are pointed at government servers and stop working.

After a takedown, links to a "new Buffstreamz" spread on social media and forums. Some are run by the original operators and some by strangers using a known name to collect traffic. Because none of them are official, you cannot tell which is which, and copies are where fake downloads and card-number phishing pages tend to appear.

  • Do not install anything a stream page asks you to install.
  • Do not allow browser notifications from stream sites.
  • Never enter a password, email address or card number on them.

Frequently asked questions

Why is Buffstreamz not working today?

The domain you used has most likely been seized, blocked by your internet provider, or abandoned. Buffstreamz has no permanent address, so pages that worked last week can disappear overnight.

Is there a new official Buffstreamz link?

No. There is no official address, and links shared after a takedown may be copies run by strangers. Treat any 'new link' as unsafe.

Where can I watch tonight's game instead?
